About Austin
*In foster care in Annandale, Sydney*
When Austin and his 2 sisters came into care with their mother, we didn't know we were in for a surprise! 3 baby bobtails!! A rare but spontaneous genetic anomaly resulting in an utterly charming bunny tail.
Although unique, Austin is a healthy kitten like any other! Many bobtail cats are known for being especially social, confident, and people-oriented and Austin absolutely fits that expectations. Full of confidence and personality, Austin absolutely loves kids, cuddles, and other cats. He’s a natural entertainer who enjoys being the center of attention and will happily put on a show whether you’re watching him or playing with him. With all those charms and confidence, Austin would suit most homes.
If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate kitten with a big personality and a tiny tail, Austin might be your perfect match.
Like all Maggie’s pets, Austin is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

My Ideal Home 🏡
Austin thrives on interaction and attention. He’d love a home with people who enjoy engaging with him, or another cat to be his playmate. He’s also great at entertaining himself—leaves, sticks, or even a humble toilet roll! He’s done wonderfully with our resident cat and has had lots of exposure to young children.
My Energy Level ⚡
Lots of kitten playtime followed by lots of sleeping—classic kitten life!
Suitability with Children 👧🧒
Austin loves kids and is very comfortable around them. He'd be good for any gentle kids that know that I'm still a baby :)
Suitability to resident Cats & Dogs 🐈
Austin has lived happily with our resident cat, as well as his mum and two siblings, and has excellent kitty manners. With the proper introductions he'd make a great mate for your resident pets.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
