Athena is looking for the right home—one that understands the Maremma breed, values calm leadership, and can offer her space, purpose, and guidance. In return, she will grow into a devoted and steady companion.

**Athena is not suitable for a suburban back yard with only weekend attention**

Athena is great with other dogs and would truly thrive in a home where she has a steady canine companion. She would be especially well suited to a farm environment with an older, experienced Maremma who can help guide her and show her the ropes as she continues to mature into her role.

She is good with cats and smaller animals, showing a sensible and respectful demeanour. Athena is yet to be tested with poultry, so any introductions would need to be managed carefully and thoughtfully.

As a young guardian breed, Athena will need time and patience to bond with her handler. Once that trust is built, she shows herself to be loyal and attentive.

She is able to walk on a leash when needed, making her manageable for vet visits or controlled outings.
