About Doug
If you are looking for a very handsome and energetic best friend, then look no further than Doug. Doug is a Staghound X who is very friendly with other dogs around his size. He has been fostered with a Swiss Shepherd and has received many visiting friends during his foster time including a Border Collie and Bull Arab Mastiff X.
Doug is still in his puppy stage and can get a bit excited when meeting new friends but he plays well. He is untested with cats and other livestock but does take an interest in possum patrol at night. He has not been tested with kids but he interacts well with the elderly at an aged care facility he visits with his foster family. He is housetrained and travels well but does tend to chew, especially if left alone for long periods during which he does get anxious.
Doug would be best suited to a family that is home more often than not, he may struggle with his anxiety in a full time worker household.
Doug adores cuddles and lots of play and he is eager to find a forever home where he can settle and find his place.
