Peaches is an incredibly sweet and loyal 18 month old ridgeback/staffy mix. She is beautifully behaved, and can be left with indoor/outdoor access for a full work day, where you can be confident the only thing out of place upon your return will be her toys! She currently shares her home with an elderly large breed male dog that she gets along well with. She would love a younger, more playful companion dog, but would also be happy as a solo dog. Peaches has not been tested with cats.

She can be strong on lead at times as she can get overwhelmed/overstimulated and try to power-walk you home as quickly as possible! She has mastered the sit and wait commands and has great recall around the house. She is fully toilet trained and has never had an accident indoors.

Peaches weighs in at around 28kg. She can be a little timid with new people and new dogs but she gains confidence reasonably quickly. Loud noises and sudden movements can still spook her though so a calm, adult household would be ideal for her, in an area that's away from heavy-traffic roads (no inner-city suburbs please).

Peaches came into foster care with terrible skin due to atopic dermatitis. This appears to be treated and managed effectively with a good quality diet without chicken in it, but she may also benefit from a Cytopoint injection every few months (particularly in the Spring/Summer months). She is currently on Fluoxetine tablets daily to treat her anxiety which has helped her make some amazing progress. This is a very cost-effective medication at roughly $12 per month.
