Meet Tahlee, a beautiful 1-year-old Shepherd x Kelpie with all the wonderful traits you'd expect from a working-breed mix - intelligence, athleticism, loyalty, and a huge capacity for love. She is an affectionate girl who bonds closely with her people and thrives when she has both a job to do and someone to do it with. Tahlee is looking for a home that understands and appreciates the unique needs of a high-drive working dog.

Tahlee is exceptionally smart and has very high mental stimulation needs. Keeping her brain active is essential for her wellbeing. She would excel with puzzle toys, scent work, structured training sessions, agility, trick training, or advanced obedience. She has a strong nose drive and loves to use it, along with a high prey drive that is typical of her breed mix. Daily life with Tahlee should include purposeful enrichment and structured exercise - a simple walk around the block will not be enough for this clever, energetic girl.

Because of her intelligence, energy, and drive, Tahlee requires an experienced home and is not suitable for first-time dog owners. Previous experience with working breeds such as Shepherds, Kelpies, or similar high-energy dogs is essential. She will thrive with confident, consistent leadership and clear boundaries.

Tahlee will also need a securely fenced yard, as she is athletic and capable of jumping fences if left alone outside. She should not be left to entertain herself in the yard for long periods and will do best as an involved member of the family.

Ideally, Tahlee would be the only dog in the home so she can fully bond with her people. With experienced owners who understand careful management and slow introductions, she may be able to live with another dog, but this would require thoughtful integration. She has previously lived with cats but was a little too enthusiastic for them, so a cat-free home would likely be the safest option.

Tahlee isn't the right match for everyone, but in the right, experienced and active home, she will absolutely shine. She is a loyal, loving, and driven young dog with enormous potential, just waiting for someone who understands working breeds and is ready to invest the time and training she deserves.
