About Aspen - 6 Week Old Cattle Dog X
🐾 Meet Aspen – Friendly, Fun & Fluffy! 🐾
Sweet and cuddly, with a little bit of mischief – Aspen is a fluffy ball of sunshine with one of a kind markings, beautiful eyes, and a tail that never stops wagging!
Aspen is a 6 week old, male Cattle X puppy. He is thriving in his foster home, playing with his foster siblings, and doing all things puppy! Due to his age, he will not be ready for his new family until 25/12/25. Aspen’s new family would be one that is active and has a large yard. He would make a great run buddy!
Aspen is a healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. He has been well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. He's met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them.
Aspen will grow up to be a large dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Aspen. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Aspen needs to be welcomed inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Aspen’s adoption fee is $800 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Aspen is in foster care in Bolwarra, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
