Meet Our Gorgeous Ronaldo!

This sweet boy is a loving, affectionate Poodle x Golden Retriever mix who firmly believes he’s a lapdog. He loves to play but he’s just as happy to settle in beside you to watch TV together and give you a few kisses.

He can be a little unsure when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, he quickly becomes very affectionate. He does like to jump and doesn’t quite understand his own size, often offering enthusiastic full-body hugs. For this reason, families with very young children may not be the best fit.

He’s still learning his leash manners and is improving every day. He’s a smart boy and although he hasn’t had a lot of training until now, he’s picking up house rules quickly. He’s toilet trained and hasn’t had a single accident indoors while he’s been in care. If he has company, he sleeps soundly through the night, and then loves to start his mornings bright and early, so you’ll never need to set an alarm again! He’s not destructive indoors or outside and isn’t a digger. He will however steal slippers and socks when he gets the chance.

He’ll make a great guard dog, as he likes to bark if he thinks someone’s at the door. But he’ll calm down after a few barks once he realises everything is okay.

He can experience some separation anxiety and may bark when left alone. Because of this, he’s best suited to a home where people are around more often than not. A doggy companion would definitely help too, but at least initially he shouldn’t be left alone for long periods while he settles in and builds confidence.
