Lara is not just a people person; she gets along fabulously with other dogs and cats, making her the perfect addition to a multi-pet family. Medical notes
Lara has had 5/5 boas surgery. She has also had bilateral patella surgery to ensure she has the best quality of life. Any problems from her patella location will now be minimised and she should only have minor arthritis as she ages.
She is a brachycephalic breed. All suffer from BOAS in some way, either minor or severe. They are always at risk of boas ( brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome)becoming clinical- creating difficulty breathing. We expect you to have a complete understanding of the condition and discuss the potential surgical, environmental and medical modifications you may have to do for this condition with your vet before you apply for this dog. It is also a excellent idea to take advantage of the trial period to have your vet check over the dog and give you more pointers on this breed related issue and the expectations for their care and management.
