About Freddie 🐾 2yo Staffy x
Freddie, 2yo Staffy x, is such a gentle sweetheart and a big softie who wouldn’t hurt a fly! Freddie’s physical prowess includes being able to jump high and enthusiastically. He doesn’t jump at people but tends to jump at doors and fences. His foster carers are working on this and the good news is that he doesn’t use this skill to escape the yard.
An important thing to mention about Freddie is that he absolutely loves water. The other important point to be made is that Freddie is a big, strong goofball who doesn’t always realise his own strength. For this reason, he would need to be with confident, experienced children over twelve. While he gets along with his canine housemates, a meet and greet is vital to make sure he is suitable with the other dogs in the family.
Freddie was really scared, especially of men, when he first went into care because he’d been through some tough times. But with lots of love and care in his foster home, he’s started to overcome his fears and is turning into a more confident and happier guy every day.
Freddie is currently working with a trainer and is making great progress, even so, Freddie is not suited to a rural property. He has such a big heart and really loves to please! He’s a big, strong boy who sometimes doesn’t realise just how powerful he is. Freddie really enjoys his time outside exploring and playing, but he’s also a big fan of relaxing on the sofa with his humans, snuggling up for some cosy cuddles. He’s full of energy and thrives on plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy!
This beautiful soul has come such a long way and has so much love to give.
Freddie is now housetrained; he loves snuggles with his human. He’s overcome his fear of men; he’s gained confidence and responds very well to what you’d like for him to do and not to do. He’s become close mates with his foster brother and sister and loves his playtime with them. He shares space with cats and has proven he’s good natured- though still not left unsupervised with cats as he’s still learning self control in he’s excitement and wanting to share his love.
Lead walking is a work in progress with Freddie, as his excitement can get the better of him and he is a very strong dog - though with ongoing training, he will learn to walk beside and not pull with his eagerness.
We’re all so proud of Freddie and all he has overcome. Freddie has been given a second chance at a better life and this gorgeous boy is grabbing it with both paws and a huge loving heart. When the time comes for Freddie to go forward to his forever family/home; they are going to be very lucky to call Freddie family.

With his smooth coat that can easily be cared for with just a bath and the occasional brushing, Freddie is very low maintenance.
Freddie loves humans so much, he would be happy as an only dog, given plenty of love, attention and exercise, but wouldn’t mind sharing the love with other animals in the home.
Freddie is microchipped, de-sexed, vaccinated, house-trained, free of fleas and worms and his adoption fee is $450.
If you feel you can provide this super worthy dog with a loving, permanent home, please contact Nora on or 0418 402 150 or email: dogrescuemudgee@gmail.com. Freddie is currently in foster care in Mudgee, NSW.
