About Socks
Hi, I am Socks. The gentle one with the white socks and the soft heart.
I love my two siblings more than anything. We wrestle and zoom around like all kittens do, but I am usually the one who taps out first and sits back to watch. I am happy letting the others think they won. Do not be fooled though. If I need to, I can absolutely hold my own. I just prefer peace and cuddles most of the time.
Dogs are fine by me as long as they are calm. I will wander past to say hello, maybe curl up nearby, and happily settle in for a snuggle on the floor while the humans watch TV. I am very tolerant with children too. Being picked up does not worry me at all and I stay relaxed and soft in their arms, as long as hands are gentle.
I am confident with new people and will happily come say hi, especially if there is a treat or a jingle toy involved. Playtime is fun, but I do not need to win every game. I enjoy zoomies and chase, then sitting quietly and watching the chaos unfold. When it is time to rest, I am all about cuddles. I melt into them. Stroke my belly and I will fall asleep. Purring included.
I use my litter perfectly and have no worries or fears. I am not much of a talker either. You might catch a silent meow or two if you are paying attention. I like being picked up, I love lying next to you on the couch, and I will absolutely snuggle in close when the day winds down.
My siblings and I had a rough start. We were found alone at just a few weeks old, tiny and malnourished, with no mum. These days I am still slim and soft, with a little fluff left that hints I will be slightly longer haired. Every night we sleep on the bed with our foster mum and her old dog. No midnight parties here. Just blankets, pillows, and quiet snuggles. In the mornings we help make the bed, which mostly means diving under the sheets and turning it into a game. It takes longer, but it is worth it.
I am gentle. Affectionate. Calm in a busy world.
If that sounds like what you are looking for, I might just be your girl.
