About Shelby
Shelby is a sweet, affectionate girl with a gentle nature and the loveliest purr. She has the cutest moon-shaped face, perfectly round and utterly adorable, and an endearing habit of standing up on her back legs to “meerkat” for pats - which she absolutely loves!
Shelby is wonderfully low-maintenance and content to please herself, but she also enjoys lying beside you for quiet company and soaking up gentle pats. She has a very expressive tail, uses it to show her moods, and sometimes gives gentle licks or tiny nibble-kisses as little love notes. She also loves basking in sunny windows and is happiest in calm, peaceful surroundings. Like most cats, she just needs a brief moment to settle in before happily showing her affectionate, easygoing personality.
She appreciates gentle handling and a human who can read her cues, and in return offers steady companionship, soft cuddles, and a whole lot of love. With her unique calico markings, sweet soul, and irresistibly round little face, Shelby is a truly special girl looking for a relaxed home to call her own.

Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
