About Suri
Scarlett is a bright, energetic young girl who's still finding her confidence in the world.
Scarlett is very food and toy motivated especially when tennis balls are involved and can already be lured into a sit. With people she's affectionate but can show conflicted behaviour, watching hands closely and moving away when unsure, so she will benefit from gentle, low-pressure handling to build trust.
Scarlett's interactions with other dogs show she is initially conflicted and nervous.. With slow, well-managed introductions she begins to relax, showing softer body language, offering play bows, and engaging more appropriately. She will benefit from ongoing training, gradual exposure to calm dog experiences, and may require support from a qualified trainer to help her continue building confidence.
Scarlett is a smart, sensitive young Kelpie X who will thrive with an active, understanding owner committed to ongoing training, building her confidence and channeling her energy positively.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
