Meet Gwen a resilient, fiercely independent torti who has already faced more than her fair share of challenges.

Gwen was trapped and brought to the pound, where, sadly, no one came forward for her. Like many torties, she knows what she likes, and she will confidently let you know when she's had enough. She's a tough nut to crack and has strong boundaries, but for those that are patient enough to notice, she occasionally shows tiny glimpses that her walls are slowly coming down.

Gwen is not a fan of vet handling and will express herself loudly when her boundaries are crossed. She will need time, understanding, and gentle handling to build trust with people, she is not ready for a home without a committed and patient guardian.

Cats like Gwen do not cope well in a shelter environment. The noise, stress, and constant handling can be overwhelming, and sadly, their options for long-term care in this setting are limited. This makes finding the right home a matter of urgency.

Adopting and working with Gwen is not just about bringing a cat into your home, it's about directly saving a life. With patience, love, and consistency, you can help her discover that humans can be safe, and that her voice and spirit are cherished rather than confined.
