Hi there.

My name is Turtle and I am a two year old black tortoiseshell girl with a soft heart and an even softer nature.

When I first arrived at the shelter I was scared. Everything was loud and new and I did my best tiny Turtle impression by wanting to tuck myself away. Even then I let the humans do my checks because deep down I knew they were trying to help me.

I am a timid soul but please do not mistake that for unfriendly. I am sweet through and through. I do not have a single aggressive bone in my body. I just need gentle people who understand that trust is something I build slowly. Once I know you are kind I will stay close by your side and show you my favourite thing in the whole world which is ear scratches. Give me those and I melt like butter.

Loud noises and heavy handling are not my style. I am hoping for a calm home where I can feel safe and move at my own pace. If you give me a quiet space to settle and a little patience you will watch me blossom into the loving companion I truly am.
