Amelia – A Fiery Little Shrew Ready for the Right Home
Amelia is a fiery, spicy little girl with a big personality and a determined streak. She’s still getting used to human attention and figuring out that people can be safe, predictable, and even pretty great.
She’ll need an adopter who’s patient, experienced, and willing to invest the time to teach her that trust doesn’t have to be scary. Amelia is absolutely a “project” cat, but for the right person, watching her transformation will be incredibly rewarding.
Amelia isn’t suited to homes with small children or loud, busy environments. She’ll thrive best somewhere calm, consistent, and understanding, where her shrewish edges can soften at her own pace.
A feline friend would be appreciated, whether it's a companion of her own age or an older cat to show her the ways. She currently lives with an adult foster brother who she adores, and her siblings and feels more comfortable being out in the room when there are other felines about.

Before applying to meet one of our cats, please ensure that
- you have the agreement of all members of the household to adopt a Cat
- you have your landlords permission to keep a pet. More information on what to do is available at https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/housing/renting/applying-for-a-rental-property-or-room/pets-and-renting
- you have all the necessary bits and pieces to welcome your new family member, starting with a cat carrier to bring them home, a litter tray, litter, food and bowls as well as a bed, toys and scratchers
- you are ready to welcome them home NOW. We are unable to hold a cat for you if you are not ready to adopt.
