Goose The Greyhound

Hi there. I’m Goose. And yes - I am, in fact, an absolute goose.

I’m a big, handsome black boy with a soft heart and an even softer neck (which, by the way, is perfect for scratching - I highly recommend you try it). I’m a champion snuggler, a full-body leaner, and when I get excited? Oh, you’re in for a treat. I perform the most impressive tornado spins you’ve ever seen. Pure athletic artistry. Zero dignity. Maximum joy.

Now, I do take a little time to warm up to new people. I’ve had a bit of a tough past, so I’m looking for someone patient and understanding who can show me that people aren’t so scary - and that love is actually a really wonderful thing. (Pro tip: if you come bearing BBQ chicken… we might just become best friends immediately.)

Because of this, I’d really thrive in a home with space - both inside and out. A larger home and backyard would give me the opportunity to take myself off to a safe, quiet spot when I need a little break, helping me feel more comfortable and secure.

I’d prefer to be your one-and-only canine companion, and I’m best suited to a home without kids. I’ve got a big personality and sometimes my excitement can be a bit much, so a calm, predictable environment will help me be my best self.

One of my absolute favourite things is enrichment time. Puzzles! Snuffle mats! Brain games! I get so delightfully focused you’d think I was studying for finals. I’m also a clever boy and currently learning tricks - one of my favourites (unsurprisingly) is spin.

And here’s the best part… once you earn my trust, oh boy, you are in for a treat. I LOVE my people. I’m talking full-body leans, snuggles, kisses, and those iconic excited spins just for you. It might take a little time to get there, but I promise it’s so, so worth it.

I’ll be turning 7 in 2026, and my only wish is to find my very own humans — the kind who see past my goofy spins and into the big, loving heart underneath. I may be entering my “silver fox” era, but I’ve still got so much love (and silliness) left to give.

All hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm (including heartworm) treated. The adoption fee includes our Adopter Kit containing a martingale collar, leash, muzzle and useful information to help you get your new hound settled in.
