About Comet - 8 Week Old Mixed Breed
Comet has a remarkably calm, gentle, friendly and intelligent nature. He is such a happy, easy-going puppy which makes looking after him an absolute pleasure for his foster carers. Having fostered many pups over the years Comet is a special little boy indeed!
Comet had a rough start to life after being dumped in bushland but after being vet treated he is now a healthy, thriving, happy pup who will be ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks.
Comet is a healthy pup who has been raised in a home environment. He has been well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs and gets on with them all. He has met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate. He can be a little timid in new situations and has a submissive personality, but he soon adapts with gentle reassurance. He loves romping with his brother then is happy to sit quietly on your lap or have a nap. He sleeps through the night and has learnt go to the toilet on the pee pads. Comet is not a high energy dog, but it is important that he has daily exercise to keep him fit and happy.
As there is no history on Comet so his breeding is unknown. The vets thought maybe Staffy in him. He also has the appearance of a Mastiff. He will grow into a large sized dog.
We always recommend puppy training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise and training. Comet will be easy to train because he is so bright and eager to please. He is also very food motivated which always makes training easier.
Comet is friendly with other dogs but adores the company of humans and would make an amazing companion dog or family member. He is going to grow big and strong so needs someone with previous dog experience and he is suitable for children over 12 years only.
Comet needs to be welcome inside and be part of the family and to sleep inside. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can’t go to rural fencing (e.g. mesh or wire).
Comet is such a sweet boy with a lovely nature and will make an amazing companion. His brother Cupid is also available for adoption.
His adoption fee is $800 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Comet is in foster care in Pokolbin, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing by 6 months old.
