About Tigger
Wow, Tigger is a one of a kind cat! In some ways he is more like a dog, often wanting attention from you by calling out and rolling over. He will be an awesome companion if you're a cat lover, as he loves being with you. He is a super handsome fellow, with stunning blackish/brown stripes and soulful, yellow eyes that won't miss anything. He has a very commanding presence at over 7 kgs. There's a lot to love about Tigger. Please read on about our recommendations:-
HEALTH - A diet of high-quality dry biscuits, wet food and clean, fresh water is perfect and will help with his health and longevity. Tigger is currently on biscuits that will help with weight loss. On-going visits to the vet are required.
LIFESTYLE - A temporary room or crate (LAUNCH ROOM) may help transition Tigger into your home. Fun inside your home can be provided by large cat towers, wand toys, and warm window-sills for Tigger to observe the outside world. Tigger must be kept inside or in a catio - please read our "SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT TIGGER" below.
FRIENDS - Tigger will be suitable for a calm/mature household and may be able to reside with gentle older children. He has lived with other cats, however please read below our "SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT TIGGER". It's unknown if Tigger is compatible with dogs.
"A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT TIGGER" - Tigger has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but don't worry-it's not a big deal at all! FIV doesn't affect his daily life, and it won't shorten his lifespan. It just means his immune system is a little weaker than other cats, so he needs to be extra careful not to get sick. This is why Tigger must be kept indoors, and he would be happiest in a home with no other cats or one where any other cats are also FIV-positive. Tigger is very healthy otherwise.
