Leo is the kind of cat who quietly changes your life.

At just 18 months old, this sweet, resilient boy has already experienced more change than many cats ever should. Following a relationship breakdown, Leo found himself needing a fresh start — and despite everything, he has remained endlessly loving, gentle, and full of trust.

Leo has Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), a genetic condition that causes gradual vision loss over time. While PRA cannot be reversed, it is not painful, and cats like Leo are incredibly adaptable. Cats rely heavily on their memory, hearing, whiskers, and sense of smell to navigate the world, and Leo proves every single day just how capable cats with vision impairment can be.

His eyesight may be limited, but it certainly doesn’t stop him from living life to the fullest. Leo still confidently climbs cat towers, perches proudly on stools, explores his surroundings, and finds his way around with impressive determination. Once he learns his environment, he adapts beautifully and continues on as though nothing in the world could slow him down.

What Leo loves most, however, isn’t climbing or adventuring.

It’s comfort.

Warm puddles of sunshine. Soft blankets. Safe little sleeping spots. Gentle hands. Quiet companionship. Leo is deeply affectionate and happiest when curled up close to his people, soaking in love and security. He has a calm, comforting presence about him — the kind of cat who makes a house feel peaceful simply by existing in it.

Leo adores people, is tolerant of respectful dogs, and coexists well with other cats. Due to his limited vision, he can startle easily if approached suddenly, so a home with children under 10 years old would not be the right fit for him. What he truly needs is a calm, understanding household where he can feel safe, predictable, and loved.

In return, Leo offers unwavering companionship and one of the gentlest hearts you’ll ever meet.
