About Duke
If you’ve been waiting for a calm, cuddly, ridiculously handsome Greyhound to complete your home, Duke might just be your guy.
Duke is a 6-year-old sweetheart with a gentle demeanour and a heart as big as his snoot. He’s dog friendly, cat friendly, house trained and famously chilled. Truly one of those “once-in-a-lifetime” good boys. He loves car rides, is happy to chill at a cafe and is a perfect hang out buddy.
Duke’s owner adored him, but after an unexpected life crisis could no longer give him the stability he deserved. He is now looking for a forever home through absolutely no fault of his own.
Duke loves having a garden to sunbake in and has not loved apartment living in the past. He’s a professional couch ornament who is happiest snoozing the day away, and like many Greyhounds, he prefers humans who are home more often than not.
With all the recent change in his life, Duke can get a little unsettled when left alone for long stretches, so a family who can offer routine, gentleness and company would be perfect. He was adopted but returned after a month. No fault of his own, but because the adopters cat really didn't like having a dog in the house so we would like someone who can really be sure they want to commit.
Duke is currently living with a cat in his foster home without any issues, and could happily continue sharing life with a feline friend. He is dog friendly and may also do well with another calm dog.
Duke is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated — ready to walk (or snooze) straight into his new life.
This boy is pure love wrapped in a tall, elegant, goofy package. He deserves a soft bed, a peaceful home and people who will treasure him for the gentle gem he is.
Duke is currently snoozing in Preston with his foster family. If Duke sounds like your perfect match, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s find this beautiful boy the forever couch he deserves. 💛
