Hi there. I’m Mateo, I am a charming 3-year-old Australian Cattle Dog or Red Heeler as we are sometimes known.💕 Foster dad says I am very handsome boy.

I’m a happy boy and I’m looking for my forever family. I’d best suit an active family that will include me in their everyday lives. I’m a super social boy and enjoy playing with other friendly dogs, but would be more than happy to be an only dog. I'm chill, snuggly and just adorable but can be playful, crazy and adventurous.

True to my breed trait, I'm a loyal guy who just loves to be with my trusted human and dog friends. I'm a small but solid guy; about 18kg, if you have kids, that's a bonus for me but because I'm a bulldozer player sometimes, over 5 years of age is preferred.

Since coming into foster care I’ve started my basic training. I’m food motivated & enjoy my training sessions. I’m a clever boy & learn quickly. I sit & wait for my food, I come when called and am continuing my lead training and am walking nicely alongside foster dad. I know to go outside and use the lawn.

I currently sleep inside in my large crate or outside in my kennel. I’m a good boy and sleep quietly through the night. During the day I have my big wooden kennel with a covered verandah to hang out in. That's when we are not altogether snuggled on the couch.

I’m searching for a family who understands the needs of working breeds. A home that can provide me with ongoing training & both physical & mental stimulation to help me be the best boy I can be. If you think you can provide me with my pawfect forever home, my foster dad would love to hear from you.
