About Gladys
Sheila is a sweet, affectionate, yet worried girl who needs a calm, quiet home with structure and routine. She should be allowed indoors as part of the family, as she bonds quickly and will want to stay close to her people. She is still learning to walk on lead and can be unsure with close handling, so it's important to move at her pace and offer regular consent breaks. Building a strong bond first, then starting lead work in the backyard before gradually progressing to short walks, is recommended.
Sheila is smart, eager to please, and already knows how to sit. Once settled, she will enjoy ongoing training, including support with "four paws on the floor." She may need behavioural support during storms. Teens are recommended, and she must meet any resident dogs at adoption, as she may feel braver with a friendly canine companion.
