On Hold
About Leroy - 7 Month Old Staffy
All Leroy wants this year is a family to call his own.
Leroy is a 7-month-old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy who really is the full package. This beautiful little house hippo is a quintessential staffy, who loves nothing more than to chase his ball, drink from the hose and then cuddle up in his foster carers lap.
Leroy is very dog social and loves playing with any dog he meets. He is crate trained and sleeps in his crate through the night. He is a very good boy and is happy to amuse himself outside during the day while his carer is at work but enjoys coming inside at night to spend time with his foster family.
Like all staffies, Leroy is very food motivated so training him is an absolute delight. Thanks to the amazing rangers at Newcastle Council, Leroy already knows how to sit, shake and wait for his food like an absolute gentleman.
Leroy loves playing tug-o-war with the resident dogs in the house and wrestling with them in the yard. He is extremely affectionate and enjoys cuddles with any human that will hold him. Leroy is being socialised by his foster carer, and he has met lots of people at the café and brewery and is friendly and affectionate with them.
Leroy would absolutely adore a home with another dog present but would be fine to the be the only dog in the household too. If Leroy is an only pet, he would be best suited to a home with an active owner who can ensure he gets walks daily.
Leroy will grow up to be a medium sized dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give puppies the best start in life and new playmates to grow with. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Leroy's adoption fee is $700 which includes his desexing and vaccination. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped. Leroy is in foster care in Glendale, NSW.
