About π Merlin π
Meet Merlin, a remarkable feline with a mission. He's not your average cuddle-seeking kitty, but rather a unique cat with a strong sense of purpose. Merlin thrives in environments where he can channel his natural instincts and has a passion for pest control duties on a larger property, making him an ideal candidate for a farm or industrial estate setting.
All he needs is a dry, warm shelter, supplemental food and 6-monthly worm treatments crushed into his food, to treat him for parasites (approx $20).
Merlin is an independent spirit. Shaped by his early life on the streets, he has learned to coexist with people and other animals but prefers to keep his distance, maintaining his own space.
He has grown to trust his carer in terms of being fed and feeling safe and comfortably secure. However, he remains wary of touch and isn't fond of the more hands-on aspects of care.
Merlin is accustomed to living with other cats and effortlessly gets along with them. His independent nature makes him a low-maintenance addition to any property, as he doesn't crave constant human attention. His true passion lies in chasing mice, and you can trust him, to keep any area free from unwelcome rodent visitors.
For those seeking a dedicated and hardworking cat to enhance their farm or industrial space, Merlin, is ready to embrace his role with great enthusiasm. He offers companionship to his feline friends, and can also be adopted with another cat suited for barn life. Merlin would serve as an invaluable asset to your property's upkeep. This natural-born hunter will bring both companionship and efficiency to your space.
So if you are looking for an agile, healthy lad to help you manage the mouse π population at your rural or semi rural property? Look no further than Merlin! He's healthy, vaccinated, desexed & microchipped.

Medical notes
Merlin is FIV+, this means his immune system is not as robust as in an FIV negative cat. However, there is now a lot of research and studies that show FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives just like FIV negative cats, if they receive a high quality diet and routine veterinary care, and live an indoor lifestyle to prevent exposure to harmful parasites and infectious diseases. For this reason she must be indoor only.
FIV negative and positive cats can live together with minimal risk of transmission of FIV. FIV is only transferred via deep bite wounds, not through behaviours such as mutual grooming or through fomites, as the virus can not survive outside the infected cat's body for any length of time.
He will also have a dental and one tooth removed prior to adoption.
