Meet Max, super sweet boy, based at the Erina Shelter, but currently enjoying a fabulous life in foster care, with resident doggo Kev!
Max is an Amstaff X, estimated to be about 7½ months old. He's a very special boy, who is completely Deaf! Max will need a home that can provide for his current and future needs, which are slightly different to the average doggo!

"Max is the sweetest, smartest boy with a heart full of love. Despite a tough start to life, Max greets every day with a gentle nature, a happy spirit, and endless energy. Being deaf doesn’t hold him back one bit, he’s already learned the hand signs for sit, shake, eat, “no”, and even “we are leaving without you.” He’s a quick learner, eager to please and loves his treats".
"Max is getting more comfortable on the lead each day, and is starting to walk next to us without much pulling. He loves exploring the world with his nose, he’s curious about everything and enjoys taking his time to sniff his surroundings. He’ll thrive with a family committed to continuing his training to help keep him safe and confident out in the world".
"Max is friendly with people and other dogs, though slow introductions are best as he can get a little excited at first. And while Max may be deaf, he’s definitely not silent, he has a voice and isn’t shy about using it! But he also sleeps deeply and peacefully, often completely zonked out after a day of play".

Max would best suited to an active family where he can be included in daily tasks both indoors and out. He would suit being in a home with another doggie friend, and has recently made a new friend, a 5 year old small human, where lots of fun was to be had, and there was an abundance cuteness 🐾🥰❤️!
Max's adoption fee is $400 which covers microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments 🐾
Whilst deaf dog experience is preferred, it is not essential, so if you think this handsome boy is for you then please lodge your interest.

Adoption details
Dogs and cats come microchipped, lifetime registration, desexed, vaccinated and with a 14 day health & trial period warranty (please note that SoCares reserves the right to conduct home and yard checks prior to adoption).
DOG ADOPTIONS: We like to make sure all dogs and their new family (human and four legged) are a suitable match so if you have other dog/s we always book a meet and greet at a time suitable for you to ensure they will get on.
