About Lucy
*In foster care in Summer Hill, Sydney*
Meet Your Gentle Greeter: The Soft-Meowing Sweetheart
Lucy is the definition of calm, relaxed cat energy. She’s laid back, sweet, and wonderfully communicative—using soft, delicate meows to welcome you home, request dinner service, or politely inform you that her litter box could use a refresh. She enjoys having her human nearby, especially during mealtimes, and will often look back to make sure you’re keeping her company. She insists on having her human “stand guard” while she eats, and if you forget and wander off, she’ll gently call you back to your post.
Lucy was surrendered to the pound in her twilight years. She can be a cautious soul at first and takes her time deciding who her person is. But once she does? She forms a close, loyal bond that feels incredibly special. When she chooses you, she really chooses you. And once she trusts you enough to make biscuits on you? You’ll feel like you’ve unlocked an elite achievement in cat friendship.
Can you give Lucy her second chance at a forever home?
Like all Maggie’s pets, Lucy is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

🏡 My Ideal Home
She thrives in a stable, cozy home where she can be near her people and take her time getting familiar with the space. Once she feels comfortable, she settles in beautifully.
⚡ My Energy Level
A low-energy lady with a soft spot for lounging.
She can absolutely be convinced to play with wand toys and will enthusiastically chase any bug that dares enter her kingdom.
👶 My Suitability to Children
She hasn’t met kids yet, but her gentle nature suggests she’d likely do well—especially with respectful, calm children over 10.
🐾 My Suitability to Other Cats or Dogs
Lucy did live with another cat in her original home so would be suitable with the proper introductions to resident cats.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Lucy has had a recent dental.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
