About Socks
Hi, I’m Socks, a sweet, sensitive 3-year-old red and tan male Kelpie. I’m quite the timid boy, especially when meeting new people, and I need time and space to feel safe. Once I’m comfortable, my personality starts to shine and I have been told I am super cute and goofy!
I am easy to have around, and I will go in a crate, travel quietly in a car in my crate too.
I adore other dogs, and I love to play! I have a great time with my furry foster siblings and we have a fabulous time! They also really help me feel safe, and I learn so much just by watching them how to be brave, how to relax, and how to handle new situations.
My ideal home needs to be relatively calm and predictable, with high and secure fencing and at least one confident and playful dog who can be my mentor and best mate.
I’m not the dog who will rush up for cuddles on day one. Instead, I’ll watch from a safe distance… then sit a little closer… then maybe accept a quiet under-the-chin scratch. And one day, when I know I’m safe, I’ll choose to come over for pats more and more often.
If you’re someone who celebrates small wins, understands sensitive dogs, and can offer a calm home with a friendly doggy companion, then please apply!
Socks is located in VIC.

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
