About Nelson
Nelson is a beautiful young black cat with the biggest, greenest eyes that you ever will see. He is gentle, thoughtful and full of personality once he feels safe in his surroundings.
Nelson would thrive in a quiet home with people who understand that some cats just need a little time to show their true colors. He is a soft soul who likes to sit back and observe before joining in, but once you approach him, he enjoys being patted and will give you the sweetest purrs in return.
He is very food motivated and creamy treats are absolutely the way to his heart. Once bribed, he will decide you are his person forever.
Nelson gets along wonderfully with other animals and would love a home where he can have confident furry friends. He enjoys the company of other cats and could quickly become best friends with them. His playful side shines when he hides behind doors ready to play with his animal companions or gently pounce on his humans in a cheeky, fun way.
Nelson also loves to find the coziest spots in the house to rest. He adores snuggling up on his favorite cat bed or wedging himself between the pillows on his human’s bed for the ultimate comfort.
Nelson is quiet, loving and incredibly rewarding. Once he settles in, you will have a gentle shadow and a lifelong buddy. If you are looking for a cat who is sweet, thoughtful and affectionate in his own time, Nelson might just be your perfect match!

Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
