About Steven
Handsome, well-mannered, smart, adventurous, stable… and an all-round awesome companion — what more could you ask for? Steven is all of that and a little bit more.
When Steven first arrived, he was shy with new people and unfamiliar places, and he’d had very little training. But thanks to his foster carer’s patience and consistency, he has blossomed into a confident, affectionate, and well-behaved young man.
Buddy now sits politely before dinner (even though he really wants you to hurry up — he loves his food!). He walks nicely on lead and enjoys exploring the neighbourhood. He’s crate trained, happy to enjoy quiet downtime, and absolutely lights up when the humans come home from work — it’s his favourite moment of the day.
Steven would love a forever home with another friendly dog, but he’d also be happy as an only dog as long as he has company. He adores people, cuddles, and making new friends, and he’d make a wonderful family dog. He hasn’t been around cats, so he remains untested with them.
As you can see in his photos, Steven is a very special boy — full of heart, charm, and that big, beautiful smile. He’ll also give a good loud bark to let you know when strangers are around. He is not suited to long hours alone in the yard, as this leads to boredom and an unhappy pup. Steven thrives on companionship and inclusion.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will fill your days with warmth, joy, and plenty of affection, Steven is waiting to meet you.
If you have any questions or would like to arrange a meet-and-greet, his foster carer is more than happy to chat about him.
