Meet Minnie, known to her racing fans as Mischievous Mini, a Greyhound with a temperament as beautiful as her sleek physique. She’s a truly graceful girl who has captured the hearts of all who meet her, with a gentle nature and friendly demeanor.
Born on September 3, 2022, Minnie has been raised in a nurturing environment alongside her eight siblings, establishing her as well-socialized and comfortable around various furry friends. She plays well with fellow dogs, and is even friendly to cats, showing her adaptable, easy-going personality. She's kid-friendly and has been successfully house trained, making her an ideal match for a family setting. While she hasn't been tested around birds, her calm nature hints at potential positive interactions when introduced correctly.
Though Minnie is a Greyhound of racing fame, she's not one for overexcited antics. She greets new encounters with a calm demeanor and settles in with warmth and friendliness as soon as she feels safe. Minnie is an expert in crate living and house manners, making her transition into a home convenient and seamless. She's even learned to master going up and down a flight of stairs, so a two story home is not out of the question. Her daily life is enhanced by her microchipping, vaccination, and regular health treatments, affirming she’s well-prepared to be a part of your family.
Minnie's ideal home would be one with ample space and dog-proof fencing, allowing her to explore her surroundings safely and securely. Because she loves to be with her people (both four legged and two), she would benefit from having a doggy playmate or humans who are home a lot of the time. Growing up in a big family, she's not used to being alone. She is currently located in sunny Cairns, awaiting a family who can provide her the love and companionship she thrives on. If you’re ready to welcome this delightful bundle of love into your life, Minnie promises to be a steadfast, loving companion, loyal to the bonds she creates in her forever home.
Medical notes
Minnie retired after her last start when she broke a toe and suffered a bad wrist sprain. Part of her toe was amputated and recovery was done on both injuries. These injuries will not have any impact on her quality of life as a pet.
