About Ollie
💛 Ollie 💛
Aka - Oliver (formal setting), Ollie Dots, Oh Ollie.
Here we have a absolutely hopeful young pup with dreams of a loving, stable home, food, people to love, food, treats, food, things to sniff, food and comfy place to nap. Oh, did I mention food.
Ollie has more joy and hope than he can fit in his puppy body so he sometimes gets overcome by full body wiggles and rampant tail wagging which is always a fun time.
Ollie is strongly food motivated and very responsive to redirection which makes for a really lovely combo when doing training.
Ollie can sit, lay down, stop and sit before a meal and occasionally with a few prompts he will shake paws.
Ollie is really comfortable navigating stairs with the occasional prompt of a treat half way. Ollie can alert at the door for toilet breaks but it is a visual alert so it can be missed if he cannot get your attention. Ollie does prefer slow approaches with hands and people overall and is building his comfort with people beautifully.
Ollie loves to respond to local barks with a cheerful hello but will stop if you ask him too. Ollie is not as big a fan of that strange dog in the mirror.
Ollie loves to be with his people when they are home and will absolutely sneak his way to the same part of the house you are in even if you were planning to come back asap. This said, he remains settled if you have to go down stairs for a load of washing or similar so long as he cannot see where you are. He prefers company so it is important that he is with his family more often than not.
Ollie really enjoys time in the garden sniffing and following scents or just lounging about.
Ollie is learning how cool toys can be but they are new to him so he will have to work with his family on the joys of fetch, tug and treat rescue 😛
Ollie will make a wonderful family dog but he will be a large dog so some space to roam around and sniff with decent fences will be important. Ollie is also a puppy, so training, boundaries and enrichment are really important for his wellbeing.
