About Susie
Introducing Susie, a delightful Japanese Chin with a gentle soul and an abundance of love to give! Born on the 2nd of December 2023, Susie is a young girl who weighs in at a heart-stealing 4.2 kg. Her endearing features and charming personality make her impossible to resist.
Susie may be a little timid at first, but with a kind heart and a patient family by her side, she'll soon blossom into the cuddly, attentive companion she truly is. With a bit of encouragement, this lovely lady will come out of her shell, ready to shower your home with warmth and companionship. She has shown that she is comfortable and social around smaller-sized dogs, indicating her ability to bond well with like-sized canine companions.
Given her petite stature, Susie would thrive in a cozy and nurturing environment where she can feel secure. A household that appreciates quiet times and occasional play would suit her perfectly. Her affectionate nature becomes evident as soon as she feels at ease; she'll grace you with snuggles and warm, loving cuddles. Susie has endless potential to become a beloved member of your family!
Medical notes
Susie had a dental with multiple extractions plus a scale and clean of remaining teeth.
She had a umbilical hernia repaired
She has luxating patella on right hind leg. It returns to normal position when flexed. Monitor for lameness. May require surgery in the future.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
