Meet Mary, the gentle greyhound with an easygoing demeanor that makes her the ideal companion for a quieter lifestyle. Mary is a low-energy sweetheart who adores lounging on the couch, and she finds joy in watching colorful kids' shows and even catching up on cricket games. She's a laid-back canine who truly appreciates the art of relaxation.
Whether you're in an apartment or a house, Mary is perfectly at ease, happy to spend her days in calm companionship. She has hung out with other hounds and is just as comfortable chilling solo, relishing her alone time with long, restful naps. Her beautiful lead manners mean that taking her on peaceful walks is a breeze.
Although Mary is a bit shy around strangers, she is trying her very best to engage in family life. A relaxed suburban or regional area would be ideal for her, away from the hustle and bustle of busy city life and loud noises, which she finds overwhelming. Mary would do well with an experienced dog owner or someone willing to invest the time in helping her transition smoothly into family life. Her improved socialisation with friends and pets would benefit from a bit of gentle patience and encouragement.
Having not met dogs outside of sighthounds, staffies and cats, Mary's relaxed attitude leads us to believe she would adapt comfortably to other furry friends.
Mary is on an endearing journey of growth, learning to fully embrace her new life as a beloved pet. Every day, she strives to become more confident and welcoming. Adoption details
The adoption fee is $395 and includes desexing, C5 vaccination, muzzle and lifetime registration in NSW.
Once we found a potential match, the following will happen:
- Phone chat with one of the HBH coordinators
- Phone chat with the foster carer
- Meet and Greet with the foster carer and the dog
- Setting up your personal support group through FB messenger or Whatsapp with Foster Carer and HBH coordinators
- House visit (virtualor in person)
- Paperwork and Adoption fee to be returned to HBH
- Trial start (2 weeks)
- Final adoption!
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
