About Mahi Mahi
Mahi Mahi doesn’t adorn the same colourful scheme as their namesake, but the lack of colour in their feathers is accounted for in their shining personality!
Mahi Mahi is a white ringneck dove who came here after being discovered lost and loose outdoors and was one of the two doves we received in October. Whilst the other dove’s family was able to be located, Mahi Mahi was unable to find their former home. Although we searched high and low, we had no clues due to a lack of identification bands, and no one seemed to know where Mahi Mahi came from.
Mahi Mahi is comfortable with people and enjoys using your finger as a perch or as a fancy plate for treats! They are quite happy to spend time nearby you and keep you company over the Christmas holidays and beyond.🎄
Doves are slightly different to a pigeon temperament wise, being closer to wild animals than the long domesticated pigeon. As such, it is important to be aware of the different boundaries a dove has to understand and respect them.
Unfortunately due to the nature of their rescue, we are unable to accurately estimate Mahi Mahi’s age. We assume Mahi Mahi is a lady, but if sex is important to the adopter, we suggest a DNA test for a small fee ($18).
We would like Mahi Mahi to go to a home who already owns a dove (or multiple) so they can have companionship.
