About Skye
🌟 Meet Skye — The Sweetest Cattle x Kelpie You’ll Ever Meet! 🌟
Female | Cattle Dog x Kelpie | Ready for Adoption
If you’re looking for a gentle, intelligent, easygoing girl who’s ready to be your loyal companion from day one, Skye is your girl!
Since arriving, Skye has been nothing short of exceptional. She has shown no reaction to cattle, sheep, or cats through fences, and she hasn’t made a single peep — no barking, no whining, just a constantly wagging tail and a loving nature.
💛 Temperament & Personality
• Calm, friendly, and incredibly well-mannered
• Settled in immediately and hasn’t put a paw wrong
• Quiet girl — not a barker or whiner
• Exceptionally waggy tail!
• Unfazed by new environments and experiences
• Shows signs of having been loved and well cared for in her past
🐕 With Other Dogs
Skye’s soft introduction to the resident pack went beautifully. She read the room perfectly, handled a senior’s grumpy growl with total grace, and blended in confidently. This girl has wonderful doggy manners and a gentle soul.
🎓 Training & Skills
• Excellent recall, even after only just arriving
• Responds beautifully on leash
• Very attentive and eager to please
• Adaptable and thoughtful — you’d never guess she’s been in the pound
🌙 In the Home
Skye slept through the night without a sound and woke up ready to take on the world with her happy little tail. She’s clean, calm, and incredibly settled for a dog with an unknown history. Truly a remarkable girl.
Skye needs a rural property with lots of activities for her to do.

Adoption details
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the Promising Paws Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal.
We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home or in a public place. If you have other animals they should please be at the meet.
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed (e.g. size of dog, diet, temperament, exercise requirements).
*Same gender adoptions will not be considered. Same sex aggression is something at Promising Paws we will avoid.*
