Meet Perdita (“Dita”) – the soft-toy-loving sweetheart who wants nothing more than a comfy spot and a human to adore.

Dita is one of those greyhounds who slips into home life like she’s been doing it forever. Indoors, she’s calm, quiet, and an Olympic-level lounger. If there’s a bed, a couch, or a pile of blankets, she’ll curl herself up and drift into bliss (preferably if patted to sleep). When she’s not nesting, she’s padding around, gently exploring, and looking for her human.

Despite her sweet, relaxed nature, she’s no pushover. Dita is confident, adaptable, and happy to coexist with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. She’s equally content as a solo dog and would thrive with a person or family who simply enjoys having a warm, affectionate companion nearby.

On walks, she’ll give you a minute of enthusiastic sniffing before settling into an easy, pleasant pace. She’s handled busy environments without any hesitation and takes new stimulation in stride. She has excellent manners around food, toys, kids, and other animals, with no guarding and no shown sleep startle. She’s even been cat-tested and remained calm and uninterested.

Dita can be left alone without drama, but she genuinely lights up when her humans are around. Her joy is simple: soft toys, soft beds, gentle company, head pats, and the absolute thrill of breakfast and dinner.

She’s suitable for both new and experienced dog owners and would do well in an apartment or house, provided she’s toileted regularly. Stairs still confuse her a little, and may need some help gaining confidence on new sets, and she’s convinced “sit” is optional, but those quirks are part of her charm and easy to work on.
