Meet Paprika, a stunningly beautiful 8-month-old ginger girl with a huge heart and a quiet, gentle soul. This young mama came into rescue as a pregnant stray and, despite her youth, was an absolutely dedicated and wonderful mother. Now that her caretaking duties are complete, it's finally time for Paprika to find the stability, comfort, and loving attention she truly deserves.
💖 Her Personality and Needs
Paprika is ready to transition from a life outdoors to the cozy security of a loving home, but she needs a little patience to get there.
-The Chatty Greeter: Paprika is an affectionate soul who is always happy to see her people. She will greet you with sweet little chirps and an immediate head nudge to request attention.
-Shy and Easily Startled: Having been a stray, she is still adjusting to indoor life and being around people. She is naturally shy at first and can be easily startled by sudden noises or movements. Her new family must be prepared to give her time and space to build trust.
-A Love of Comforts: She is quickly discovering the joys of indoor living! Paprika adores soft furnishings and can often be found luxuriating on a comfy bed or blanket.
-Affection on Her Terms: Paprika is extremely affectionate but prefers to control the pace. She will happily sit right beside you for quality time, but she is not yet comfortable being held or sitting directly on a lap.
🏡 Her Ideal Home:
Paprika is seeking a specific environment where she can continue to blossom into a confident, loyal companion:
-Quiet and Adult Only: She requires a child-free home (no children under 16) to ensure a calm, predictable environment free of sudden movements and loud noises.
-Patience is Key: Her adopters must be patient and understanding, allowing her to approach them on her terms and offering her gentle encouragement as she adjusts.
-Feline Company Required: Paprika must go to a home with one or more friendly, confident cats to help her feel secure and continue her socialization, OR she must be adopted with one of her own beautiful kittens.
📝 Note: Paprika is a truly wonderful girl who has already proven her dedication as a mother. Give her time, and she will reward you with years of chirps, head nudges, and loyal companionship.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is as follows:
1. Submit an adoption application via our website at www.rescuecatsofmelbourne.com.au/adopt
2. We will be in touch with you within 48 hours if we wish to progress your application.
3. A meet and greet will then be organised so that you can meet your potential new family member!
4. Upon a successful meet and greet, an adoption day will be set for you to come and collect your new family member and sign all required paperwork
All of our cats come de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, worm treated and with a clean bill of health.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
