About Gerald
Meet Gerald. Despite bring brought to the rescue as a fairly young kitten, he really never warmed to people. In fact, he wishes they weren't there. He just wants the food to keep appearing, and if that could happen without any people about then he would be loving life.
If you approach him he'll warn you off with a hiss, and any attempt to touch him is an insult to his very being, and will probably earn you a thwack.
He is however litter trained, and gets along fine with other cats. We think the best place for Gerald would be a barn, warehouse or stables where he can be useful with any pesky rodents. He definitely won't get in your way!
We're hoping that someone out there will have the right home for Gerald!

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
