Please meet Lulu.

If ever there were a dog who needed a second chance, it's her. Life has not been easy for this beautiful girl. Surrendered to the shelter, she arrived frightened, cautious, and overwhelmed. The shelter can be loud, fast, and frightening and poor Lulu has understandably shut down, retreating into herself as she tries to make sense of it all. But in quiet moments with our devoted animal attendants, she's slowly starting to trust. Slowly, ever so slowly, she is beginning to show glimpses of the sweet, gentle soul she truly is.

Lulu's body tells the story of a survivor. She has faced multiple medical challenges: lumps and bumps removed, her spleen taken out after a cancer diagnosis yet she endures, day after day. These experiences have left her looking older than her years, but her heart remains full of love, longing for a safe place to finally call home. She is a survivor, and she deserves a life that celebrates that strength.

This tender girl isn't ready for a bustling household. Lulu needs a single-dog home, she can be selective about the canine companions she chooses, and any introductions to other dogs must be slow, careful, and positive. She is learning how to navigate the world on her own terms, and she needs someone willing to walk that journey with her, step by step.

Lulu also needs a calm, patient home where children are secondary school-aged or older. Little hands and loud noises can be overwhelming for her. She longs for a quiet environment and someone who can help her rebuild her confidence, help her trust again, and show her that life doesn't have to be scary. She isn't asking for much just a chance to feel safe, loved, and understood.

Despite her struggles, Lulu's heart is full. She wants to love, to belong, and to finally have a home that sees her for the brave, gentle soul she is. For the right person, Lulu will offer unwavering loyalty, quiet affection, and a bond that runs deep.
