Deja

ASSISTED REHOME ON BEHALF OF CURRENT OWNER
(Note: Deja is not a Healing Angels Animal Rescue Dog)

Summary of personality/behaviour:
Deja is 9 years old, she is very gentle and shy. She's not super energetic, loves to play fetch, go for strolls and do "zoomies", but also likes to be curled up next to you just as much. Deja is very well house-trained and leash trained. Deja is not fond of other dogs - she can be quite reactive vocally, not at all physically aggressive but she will bark and try to hide. She's good with dogs when she's going for walks but living with them in close proximity is too stressful for Deja. Deja is fine with cats, she is good around children as long as they are respectful and don't poke/prod/hit her (so potentially not suitable for toddlers). Deja can be weary of new people, but she only takes a few minutes to warm up (a little bit longer for males) but once she does, she is very calm and sooky with everyone. When left alone for long periods, Deja is unhappy - she has never digged, jumped, etc, but does get anxious when she's left alone for long periods (shows this by whining, pacing, panting). She is used to having current owner around throughout the day to day. As such, she would be best suited to someone with a backyard and who can be with her a lot throughout the day.

Reason for surrender:
Owner can no longer look after her. They would love to see her living with somebody that can be there for her the way she needs.

Handover Information:
You will receive her most recent vaccination certificate (includes desexing information). Currently using Nexguard Spectra for worming, fleas, tick, etc. (last one was given about a month ago - November 2025)
