About Spy
Meet Spy — Happy, Friendly, and Ready to Be Your Best Mate
Spy is a 21.4 kg bundle of sunshine who lives to play and loves everyone he meets — humans and dogs alike. He’s super keen to be someone’s best friend and takes that job very seriously.
A classic Aussie mix of Border Collie, Kelpie, and Cattle Dog, Spy is smart, confident, and irrepressibly positive. Although he’s been through some tough times, he’s bounced back beautifully with no emotional baggage — just a happy, tail-wagging outlook on life.
Spy is very friendly and well-behaved, particularly when you consider his age. He's still an overgrown puppy. He would make an ideal family dog. He’s house-trained, knows his basic commands (sit, come, and down), and is a very easy dog to have around. He gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes, big and small, walks calmly past the cat without a problem, and currently lives happily with older children.
Spy would suit a family with children, an active couple, or a singleton looking for an affectionate, well-behaved companion dog.
His ideal home will have space to run and play, secure fencing, and a human family who regard him as an integral member of the household. Another active dog would be a big bonus to help him burn off his abundant puppy energy and keep him entertained.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
