About Rusty
Rusty is the purriest kitten you will meet, she purrs in the car, at the vets, on your lap and when you are making her dinner. She has had a rough start to life, her mum was put to sleep, and her 4 siblings (and her) were placed into foster care. Rusty loves people and warm laps. She likes to be with you or have a friend who she can call her own.
Rusty has had it extra rough as she became contracted a skin infection (ringworm) and was treated pretty quickly. She then was diagnosed with a heart murumr, which a specialist confirmed is a small leak in her valves of her heart. Rusty has no health implications from this; she is considered to have a long healthy life as she was born with this defect. She is small for her age, she loves to eat and she loves to share what you are eating. Realistically she is healthy.
Rust as we call her or Rusty-woo has lived with lots of people, she likes them all, but her foster mum is the more favoured one. She is now lonely without her bestie Al Mond as he was adopted, but she would love another playful kitten friend. At the moment, she plays with a 1yr old cat, Baileys and all the tiny kits at her foster home. Most of all she loves Jax, he is a super playful and cheeky dog. She goes into his crated area, gives him head boops, rubs on him and even eats from the same bowl as him. It is cute, but she is super confident with dogs and making friends.
Rusty is happy to be Foster to Adopted (F2A), which is where she stays in your home for 6 weeks as you get know each other. The rescue pays for her vet care, food and litter during this time. If you fall in love and want to adopt her, then we arrange that to happen. 100% of all F2A's have ended in adoption.
Medical notes
Rusty has just completed treatment for ringworm, a common skin infection in young kittens. She is now well and treatment has stopped. Rusty is awaiting a recheck at the vets after having some blood tests.
Rusty was suspected to have a heart murmur. She had a specialist appoint and she was cleared of this. Rusty has been born with a small leak associated with one valve. The specialist said she is fine, no treatment needed and she will have no heart issues in the future. Yeh 🥳❤️🐈.
