About Starke
Meet Starke, a gentle and sensitive girl who is searching for a calm, patient forever home. Starke can be quite shy when she first meets new people, but with time, kindness, and understanding, she begins to show her sweet and loving personality. She's looking for an adult or older-teen home where her boundaries will be respected as she slowly settles in and learns to feel safe.
Starke must be an indoors-only cat. A quiet, secure environment will help her build confidence, and she'll thrive with plenty of enrichment activities-toys, puzzles, cozy hideaways, and interactive play sessions to keep her mind active and her days fulfilling.
This lovely girl dreams of being the center of someone's world, so she needs to be the only cat in the home. She wants all the love and attention for herself, and she promises to return that affection once she feels comfortable.
If you're a patient, gentle-hearted person who's ready to help Starke blossom at her own pace, she may be the perfect companion for you. Starke is ready for her soft landing-she just needs the right person to show her she's finally home.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
