Max is a true velcro dog who thrives on human company. His trademark Staffy smile and love of closeness make him a wonderful companion—he’s happiest sitting at your feet or leaning against you for reassurance and cuddles. Once he settles, he’s a big fan of belly rubs and calm pats.

Max can be excitable at first, especially in new environments, but with gentle guidance he learns quickly how to relax. Rewarding calm behaviour and giving him clear direction (such as using a lead indoors) helps him feel secure and settle faster. He’s a smart boy who responds beautifully to training, loves treats, and has already mastered commands like sit and down. He’s also becoming more comfortable with crate time—especially when paid the treat tax!

New sights and sounds can be overwhelming for Max, so a quieter home where he can adjust at his own pace would suit him best. With patience and reassurance, he’s already learning that everyday noises like birds and rustling trees aren’t scary. Calm, low-traffic walks on quieter streets help build his confidence, and using a harness and double lead supports him to slow down and enjoy his outings.

Max may need some help with toilet training as he settles into a new home, but in a calm, safe environment he’s likely to learn quickly.
