💖✨ MEET ASHY ✨💖
Hey there! Ashy here, and I’m on the lookout for someone very special… could that be you?
Nature
I’ve had quite the journey in my short life. Before rescue, I was living as a stray at a brickworks, doing my best to survive. Life was tough, and there were some not-so-nice male cats who made things really hard for me. While trying to stay safe, I badly broke my back leg. It was incredibly painful, but I kept going — because I was pregnant and my babies needed me.
I raised my kittens all on my own, even with my broken leg. When we were finally rescued, everything changed. I experienced warmth, safety, and love for the very first time. The vets discovered my leg was beyond repair, so it was amputated — and honestly? I felt SO much better afterwards. I was already favouring my other leg, so learning to walk on three was no problem at all.
Then something unexpected happened… a few weeks later, my Foster Mum realised my growing belly meant I was pregnant again! On the 23rd of September, I welcomed six beautiful, healthy kittens into the world. I was the most devoted Mum, showering them with love until they were all grown, weaned, and adopted.
Now it’s finally my turn to be loved. I spend my days chatting, purring, and soaking up affection — and I am more than ready for my happily-ever-after.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
While in foster care, I’ve been kept separate from other cats and dogs — first to recover from surgery, and then so I could focus on raising my kittens. Because of this, I haven’t had much interaction with other pets or children just yet.
What I do know for sure is that I absolutely adore humans. As soon as my Foster Mum walks into the room, I’m ready for a chat, head bumps, and affection. People are my favourite companions.
Likes / Dislikes
✅ Head scratches and being talked to
✅ Gentle cuddles and lap time
✅ A calm, quiet home where I can nap peacefully
✅ Rubbing against your legs while purring and chatting
✅ Creamy treats — they are EVERYTHING
❌ Other cats — likely due to my long time protecting my babies
My PURR-fect home would be a calm, loving space with someone kind and gentle. While my Foster Mum first thought I needed constant company, she’s realised how relaxed and content I am spending the day snoozing peacefully on my own — so a home where you’re out during the day would be just fine for me. After everything I’ve been through, I’d love a quiet environment where I can be the centre of someone’s world. I’ve given so much of myself as a mother and endured incredible hardship — now it’s my time to be pampered, adored, and live the luxurious life I truly deserve.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.
