Fern

Hi, I'm Fern. Life has been a little confusing lately - I lost my person, who was my very best mate. We spent many quiet years together, and saying goodbye was very hard for me. I'm a sensitive girl, and when my world changes I tend to hide until I feel safe again. I'm hoping someone kind will understand that I'm still grieving and just need a gentle, patient home to enjoy my retirement.

Once I trust you, I'm a sweet companion. I like to sit next to you rather than on your lap, and if you rub my nose I'll happily melt. I still enjoy a bit of playtime, especially chasing string or little balls - I used to help with knitting by stealing the wool in my last home! And fair warning: I absolutely love food. I've been known to chew through bags, so I'd appreciate my snacks stored safely in tins.

I may be nervous at first, but I have a lot of love left to give. If you can offer a quiet home, a soft spot to relax, and a gentle heart, I'd really like to spend my golden years with you.
