Opalite is a stunning fawn and tan kelpie mix with a strong desire to please. She thrives on both mental stimulation and physical activity, making her a wonderful, loyal companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle.

She has a solid foundation of basic commands and walks or runs beautifully on lead. Around the home she has been well behaved — she hasn’t shown destructive habits (aside from enthusiastically demolishing her toys!) and she is not an excessive barker.

Opalite currently lives with a kelpie mentor dog and gets along very well with her after a careful introduction period. She would most likely do best in a home with a similar, well-matched dog as she has behavioural challenges particularly with smaller dogs and pocket pet type animals.

She would thrive on a rural property or in a spacious environment where she has room to run and explore avoiding off lead areas ideally spending time with her human who is experienced in handling intelligent working breeds.
