About Mango rsua012746
Meet Mango, a stunning beauty with a sleek black shiny coat and an affectionate personality to match. She's quite the elegant lady who enjoys being the center of attention and must be the one and only fur companion in your life. Mango has a zero-tolerance policy for sharing her domain with fellow felines, and rightly so, as she's sure to capture your heart all by herself.
Although Mango has never ventured outdoors, she's perfectly content living an indoor life, especially since her asthma requires her to remain inside. Rest assured, she's a trooper when it comes to taking her inhaler; she's brave and compliant, making her a manageable companion for the right family. This cautious lady takes her time warming up to new people, but once she knows you're a friendly face, she adores a good cuddle. Her playful nature emerges in delightful spurts that'll have you smiling, ready to engage in a bit of frolic.
Mango is seeking a loving home where she can be the sole queen of her domain. If you're searching for a striking, affectionate, and intelligent feline family member who is equal parts independent and snuggly, Mango might just be the purr-fect addition to your family. Offer her safety, love, and indoor adventures, and she'll reward you with loyal companionship and plenty of cozy cuddles.
Medical notes
Feline asthma is a inflammatory lung condition similar to asthma in people. Mango was surrendered to CPS which had been well managed with a flixotide 250ug puffer (administered via face mark) twice daily. This costs about $40 every 2nd month when bought with a prescription from a chemist. She will need this long term, with vet checks every 6 months.
It is important that Mango lives in a smoke free home, and that you avoid burning incense, oil burner etc.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
