Cuddle bug Casper is looking for his forever home!

Casper's journey hasn't been an easy one. Found as a stray and navigating the world without hearing, this young man has every reason to be unsure, yet he couldn't be any sweeter! Despite what he's been through, Casper has chosen to trust, love, and lean into the people who care for him.

While in foster care, he was a gentle, cuddly soul who wants nothing more than to curl up with his humans. He thinks he's a lap dog, and honestly... it's hard to tell him otherwise. Casper learns hand signals with incredible speed, showing just how smart and eager he is to connect. He already knows sit, lie down, give paw, wait/stop, food, walk, and come here.

Outdoors, he blossoms into a joyful, playful puppy who loves fetch, jogging, and any game that lets him run and feel free. The world can be a little overwhelming at times, but with kindness and patience he's learning to focus, trust, and stay close to his person.

Casper is still figuring out how to manage his big feelings around other dogs, and for his comfort and ongoing progress, he'll need to be the only dog in his new home. He adores people and would be best suited to a family with secondary-school-aged children or older, who can appreciate both his size and his sensitive nature.

For a dog who started with nothing, Casper has so much love to give. He is smart, sensitive, affectionate, and full of promise. He'd thrive in a home with space to run, a family who understands his strength and his softness, and people who will show him the world doesn't have to be scary anymore.
