About Jackie
Jackie is a beautiful 4 month old foxy or jrt x with a friendly, playful nature and a heart that really wants to trust. She loves being near people, jumps up on the couch or bed to be close, and will seek out connection in her own quiet ways. But due to her past, she can be frightened of being handled and needs a very special home to help her continue healing.
Jackie will happily follow you around the house and tap dance with joy when she gets your attention. She'll sniff your hand, gently lick your fingers and does whole body wags and wiggles if you'll play with toys or give her treats. Once she has developed a bit of trust she will sneak up next to you on the couch and accept belly rubs. We've added some videos of her playful cheeky self!
She plays well with dogs her size and gains confidence around friendly canine companions, though she can resource guard her food and bed. This will need patient, positive guidance and careful management in her new home.
Jackie is not a âready madeâ pup. She needs a calm, understanding carer who can offer her time, space and gentle encouragement without rushing her. Someone who celebrates tiny steps forward and understands that progress wonât always be linear. The right person will help her learn that human touch can be safe and comforting.
Jackie is crate trained and mostly toilet trained.
Despite her nerves Jackie's potential shines through. She wants to love and be loved, she just needs a safe, loving environment to help her overcome what sheâs been through â whatever that may have been. With the right home, she will blossom into the affectionate, trusting dog she is meant to be.
If you have a peaceful home, patient heart and experience with fearful dogs or are willing to learn, please contact us to receive an application form and discuss your suitability. Thank you!
